Description
This very friendly family-run resort has a range of rooms from charming old-style bungalows through to quite spacious and comfortable aircon chalets. The latter get more expensive the closer you get to the beach, but by Lamai's standards, they're very good value. A newer two-storey building outback has standard rooms. The bungalows are better value. The restaurant has a great little sala overhanging the beach -- the perfect place to escape the heat -- and the entire resort is well-shaded with good gardens.

Budget rooms need a spruce up -
By Beckiboo1983 ( total comments: 8  More information please ) Stayed here 1/2007
Stayed here in peak season Jan 2007 in the budget rooms, which were 400BHT. The rooms are in serious need of a good clean and a coat of paint. We had a family of giant cockroaches living in our bathroom and generally didn't feel that the room was very clean.
Having said that, the more expensive rooms looked lovely, the staff were very friendly, and you can eat food from the restaurant at their beach bar which is directly on the beach. It's a nice little resort, but get those budget rooms renovated!!

These bungalows offer the peace and serenity I was looking for. I had two children with me and they loved it too. It was not up market but who would want for anything more than what they have to offer. It was heaven.

Bill Resort
127 Moo 3 Lamai Beach, Ko Samui
This long-running resort has rooms ranging from barely adequate for those on a tight budget to large, air-con bungalows along with very tasteful and ideally-placed beachfront Thai-style chalets. The superior rooms are clean with polished wooden floors, though the stone encrusted bathrooms are a bit... more

Samui Park Resort
Lamai Beach, Ko Samui
Samui Park is standard flashpacker fare just around the headland from the southern end of Lamai beach. Rooms are mid-sized, and with their peeling wallpaper and fading bathrooms, they're showing their age. Choose between hotel building rooms or bungalows, with the latter better value as they're... more
