Description
Very friendly Sunrise is nestled at the very southern end of Lamai Beach, with some pleasing snorkelling right off the shore. There's a mix of rooms, from creaking old wooden huts with fan and private bathroom through to solid modern affairs with tv, hot water and air-con. There is both accommodation near the beach and back in a lush natural garden setting towards the rear, where there's a small creek and lots of water features, with ponds and water filed urns and so on -- back here you can relax to the sound of birds rather then the waves. The air-con rooms are large and comfortable with pretty soft beds. Overall Sunrise is friendly and feels very well loved.

Amity Bungalows
125 Moo 3 Lamai Beach, Ko Samui
This was the first resort we ever stayed at on Ko Samui, over ten years ago. The 60B rustic wooden beachfront hut we once stayed in has been replaced by a 700B concrete mushroom with air-con but no balcony, no windows facing the ocean and small portholes on the side. They still have cheap huts way... more

Golden Sand Beach Resort
124/2 Lamai Beach, Ko Samui
Golden Sand has two rows of bungalows running from the hotel foyer down to the beach. On the southern side, deluxe bungalows have all-glass fronts so everyone walking down to the beach gets a good peek inside, and on the left superior rooms - not freestanding - are more enclosed and so more... more

Whitesands Bungalow
Lamai Beach, Ko Samui
A throwback of Ko Samui's backpacker days, Whitesands has some cute little super-basic beachfront shacks (with share-bathroom) that are amongst the cheapest on Lamai and set right on the beach. Back off the beach there's both wooden huts with private bathroom and further back again blue air-con... more
