Perhaps the best choice of hotel in this price range, Tapee has clean basic rooms equipped with TV and hot water. It's comfortable enough for a few night's stay and has a safe atmosphere, making it suited to the security conscious. It's located downtown, so the main sights such as the night market are within walking distance. Ploypailin, the in-house restaurant, has a good selection of standard Thai dishes and western breakfasts are available.

No Fans

I went to check the place. The prices are listed at reception, but there are no fan rooms now, only AC's, which start at 440. That was a bit out my range so I left. However, reception looked nice, and the staff were friendly with good English, so it's likely a good place if this is in you range.

Big room, no wifi

We stayed for one night. Double air-con room. The bed was big, love it. Room clean too. TV, hot shower mini fridge with the usual free bottled water. we were checked-in on the 4th floor, fortunately there is an elevator. Location of hotel is in mid town, and near the river too, .. pleasant walking distance to the waterfront park. Price 440B. Large parking space at the front and rear sections of the hotel for our motorcycles. Unfortunately there is no WiFi.

www.tapeehotel.com 440 for a standard double room with ac tv big bed. big room. helpfull staff. cheap food and beer in the restaurant. close to the river. 24 hours wifi 100 bath.

a very good choice!

Very helpful staff! I stayed there in a Dbl air-con private bathroom for 450 THB on the way to Koh Samui and back from Koh Samui. I bought there the transfer to Koh Samui for a areasonable price and was picked up at the hotel (250 THB). The central location is convenient for reaching night-market, bus-station or shopping-centres.
