Description
Thairungruang has an amazing number of Chinese vases crowding the lobby which must be worth a small fortune. This is an old professionally-run hotel and is in an excellent location, close to the bus stations and the smaller of the two night markets. Rooms are spacious though lacking in character, furnished with a small dressing table, closet and TV. A travel agent office is downstairs.

we stayed here for one night on the 12th July 05. stop over on the way to Satun/Langkawi from Samui. 400THB per night with A/C, Hot water, fresh towels, soap, shampoo, clean sheets and tv. hotel looks like is a converted hospital or mental asylum. be sure to barter for a good price. not bad compared to some of the other places in Surat Thani. Stay away from the insects at the night market, they don't taste like chicken at all!
