Description
Sprawled along a grassy beach side coconut grove, Pha Ngan Bungalow is an inexpensive choice for shoe-stringers and backpackers who want to be near Thong Sala but not too near. A long line of tiny rustic huts sits near the sea while newer, slightly larger bungalows form a second row. These cost only a little more for some extra space, but they really aren't much better and sit very near the road. In reality, traffic leaving Thong Sala for parts north creates a good deal of noise here throughout most of the day. A couple of newer concrete bungalows on the beach are the best choice here but quite a bit more expensive -- at least the air-con drowns out most of the automobile and motorbike noise. Head further up the beach for more peace and quiet.
