Libong Nature Beach Resort

Located next to Sunset Resort at the far southern corner of Haad Lang Kao, Nature Beach Resort was closed when we last passed through in March 2015.

Initially we thought it was a defunct resort, but when we called the “Nature Resorts” group that runs it, they informed us that it was only temporarily closed and would reopen for high season 2015-16. The same group also runs Riviera Resort on Ko Muk and Haad Yao Nature Resort in Hat Yao, specialising in eco-friendly accommodation and wildlife spotting tours. Mostly facing a central lawn rather than the beach, the white concrete bungalows with green roofs are old but -- at least from the outside -- appeared to be in half-decent shape. They still have blue-tile floors, fans, private bathrooms, screened windows and small porches, though that’s about all we could see. The person we spoke with did not provide updated room rates, so take what’s listed below with a grain of salt. If you’re considering staying here, book in advance by email or through Agoda, or check in at the sister property near Hat Yao Pier.
