Description
This new place is part of an ambitious effort to set up a tourist village slash resort centred around Dien Hong lake, an artificial body of water at the base of the Pleiku ravine. But it doesn't quite succeed. The 'lake' is more of a stagnant pond in the rainy season, and the accommodation is set along a rather unattractive dirt embankment. Still, there are some swan-shaped paddle boats you can cruise around in if you like, and a small-gauge train ride for the kids. The resort offers a business centre, restaurant, banquet and conference facilities, and tour services. Probably the biggest selling point is the guaranteed peace and quiet. The rooms are pretty good -- in a line of duplex bungalows along the water's edge. If you're looking for affordable comfort, this is not a bad deal. All the rooms are clean and new, and they have air-con, cable TV, and bathtubs.
