What we say: 
This is the best place to stay in Kon Tum, but you wouldn't know it to look at it. It has two entrances -- one is basically a garage. The other is more promising, with internet service for 7,000 dong per hour and a long-distance phone booth. We found at least one of the staff here spoke English quite well, which is pretty rare in Kon Tum. The rooms in the main building are a bit cramped, but make up for it by providing a well-stocked honour bar, and a pleasant atmosphere. But the real surprise is, the garage entrance leads to an elaborate courtyard garden, with a pond, a fountain, footbridges, and more gongs than you can bang a stick at. There's a small cafe/bar/restaurant that gives on to the garden and looks to be a great spot to while away the evening. Why they built this place in Kon Tum we'll never know, we're just glad they did.

Nice stay
We really liked our stay at the Family hotel. The room was huge and clean with a nice balcony looking over the rooftops. They have two very cute dogs to play with and the courtyard truely is beautiful. Staff were friendly and helpful. Definitely recommended.

It was ok.
They had two rooms available, one with no windows and the other was the delux on the 4th floor with small balcony. We picked the delux. It was not delux. The fan didn't work and it wasn't that clean. For the best rating in town, it didn't add up. We only spent one night and did get a good nights sleep and the breakfast in their back garden was very nice.

Clean, comfortable, roomy
I found this place to be very clean and comfortable for an out-of-the way town and I'm not a budget traveller. I think I may have had the deluxe room but at $18 that seemed really good to me. There was a nice view looking out over the garden, and the 'mini bar' of chocolates etc was really welcome. Breakfast in the garden with fruit and coffee and rolls was very pleasant, and the surrounding street had a friendly feel to it. Complimentary fruit platter in room was great. Only negative: barking family dog down below.
