Description
This mid-range place is done up in a hill tribe theme, obviously designed for a Vietnamese clientele, but we found the staff spoke English well and were surprised by how good the rooms were. It's in a bit of a nothing location, but the rooms are clean and spacious, with high ceilings, cable TVs, mini-bar fridges, air-con, and very nice tile bathrooms with tubs. The decor emphasizes hill tribe cultural artefacts, but they work and don't overpower the rest of the room. The VIP suites are a great value, with writing desks, vanities, a comfy living room, lots of windows, and an altogether pleasant atmosphere. The rooms here are better and cheaper than the Indochine, so, there's your choice made for you.

Duc Binh
122A Phan Dinh Phung, Kon Tum
The Duc Binh has some pretty reasonable rooms, all things considered -- the air-con rooms are a bit musty, but they have high ceilings and are more spacious than what you might find elsewhere for the same price. TVs, air-con, and hot-water bath standard in all rooms. Internet is available in the... more

Bac Huong Hotel
88 Tran Hung Dao, Kon Tum
If this glistening new place doesn't lure you away from the Dakbla Hotel nothing will. It just opened in June of 2007, and we found the staff here eager to please. The courtyard in front features a spiral staircase winding up to some rooms on the second floor, and there are more rooms at the back.... more

Dakbla Hotel
02 Phan Dinh Phung St, Kon Tum
This govt-run place seems to attract most of the westerners passing through town, and this is a pity. It's on it's last legs. There are way better options available in the same or lower price range elsewhere in town. We don't want to run the place down as much as we could -- indifferent staff,... more
