Comfortable, but overpriced

On our last visit, we found the Tourane to be showing its age. Thankfully, they seem to have noticed that too, as the place seems to be gleaming under its new coat of pale yellow paint. It's is a popular option, due to the combination of a swimming pool, proximity to the beach, and good deals for tour groups. Room rates are a little steep, as rooms are comfortable but rather unstylish, with clunky beds and tacky ruffled drapes. Additionally, most rooms don't take advantage of the nearby ocean -- the cheapest rooms have no views at all. They offer group tours here of the surrounding attractions that can be a good deal at about US$20 a day for groups of eight or more.
