What we say: 
This four-star place wins our praise by providing luxury travellers with an excellent resort experience at a generous discount for internet bookings and walk-ins. The inevitable comparison would be with the Furama Resort up the road, which is a five-star outfit, but we found the two pools here as good or better, the rooms sufficiently posh and comfortable, and the beach, of course, is exactly the same. Rooms are genuinely comfortable, but on the whole fairly simple -- carpeted floors, firm mattresses, and pale wooden furniture. The beachside villas are rather more interesting, with tiled floors, modern decor in warm colours, with a nice cosy atmosphere and semi-private patios overlooking the water. You'll get four-star touches like fluffy towels ready and waiting on every deck chair around the pool, as well as Jacuzzi, sauna, free internet, and free 'Sandy' breakfast. The off-season walk-in rates are good, but book online to assure yourself the room you want -- and to take advantage of major discounts for stays of two or more nights. If you're staying here, don't hesitate to walk 400 metres up the road to Hoa's Place to check out the social scene and the cheap seafood restaurants along the beach. Be sure to shop around for a discounted internet rate.
