Description
The Danang offers two hotels in one -- a two-star place closer to the water (though not close enough for any views) and a three-star place next door. The two-star wing has rooms that are cheaper and still in pretty good shape, mostly around a central courtyard with flowering trees -- pretty, despite the disused fountain at the centre. They are clean, with tubs in the bath, desks, small TVs and fridges. The three-star wing has rooms of a slightly higher calibre, with red tile floors, glass-top furnishings, and a dark wood theme. They're a bit more spacious and classy, but you won't take a big hit settling on the two-star option. No points here for the lobby which looks like it belongs on the ground floor of a condominium.

Le Bambino
112/11 Quang Trung, Da Nang
This 'boutique' hotel, located above an excellent Italian restaurant, offers a great alternative for discriminating mid-range travellers. The rooms here are very spacious, well-decorated, and a good deal for the price. They come with tile bathrooms, living room suites, and huge TVs -- they feel... more

Bach Dang Hotel
50 Bach Dang, Da Nang
This older, government-run, three star outfit is one of the few places fitting that description that still maintains its standing as a good mid-range deal. This huge hotel is right on the Han river, though many of the rooms are arranged around a courtyard in the back. These rooms are cheaper, but... more

Bamboo Green Riverside
68 Bach Dang, Da Nang
This is the place to go for comfy, midrange rooms with river views. The room we saw featured a badly-laid carpet, but was otherwise light, airy and pleasant, providing a desk, built-in furnishings, tubs in the bathroom and cable TV. There's seating out front in plastic chairs for sitting and... more

Pacific Hotel
92 Phan Chu Trinh, Da Nang
This newly-renovated, nine-story, three-star place is located on an 'urban peninsula' between Phan Chu Trinh and Hoang Dieu streets, with entrances on both sides. The new interiors are great, in a sort of art deco style, and we found the staff spoke English well and were very accommodating. The... more

Bamboo Green Harbourside
177 Tran Phu, Da Nang
The Bamboo Green Harbourside is on Tran Phu street across from the Catholic church, and nowhere near the harbour. We list this place mostly because with three 'Bamboo Green' hotels in town, it would be easy to get confused. Some of the rooms on the upper floors do, in fact, have views of the river... more

Saigon Tourane Hotel
05 Dong Da, Da Nang
Located next to the Danang Hotel, the Saigon Tourane doesn't benefit from the kind of 'prime location' most of the hotels in the 'Saigon' chain have. Still, as elsewhere, it offers decent, mid-range rooms with all the trimmings, along with free breakfast, WiFi, and all the free water you can drink.... more
