This nine-storey, three-star place is located on an urban peninsula between Phan Chu Trinh and Hoang Dieu streets, with entrances on both sides. Though decorated in garish strings of neon lights, the hotel's rooms are surprisingly understated. They're simple and attractive, with long beds, writing tables, and furnishings in a vaguely art deco style. Large windows guarantee the rooms are bright, and offer great views over the city after dark. They have a business centre and a steambath/sauna, but no chance of cramming in a swimming pool. Try a room on an upper floor to avoid street noise -- there's an elevator. WiFi is available throughout the hotel. Recommended.

* Travelfish researchers visit and review properties on an anonymous basis. By that we mean they show up, in person, and pretend to be either be a potential guest, or somebody looking for a room for a friend or relative. Where possible the researcher will inspect at least a couple of rooms. The rates you see above are what either the desk staff told us they were, or what were in the brochure when they just told us to quit bugging them and look in the brochure. For mid-range hotels and up, always shop around online for a competitive rate. Click here to find out more about what makes Travelfish different with regards our accommodation reviews.
