This is the first place along as you come off the Han River bridge from Da Nang and head north on Tran Hung Dao. It's an easy walk or bike ride into downtown Da Nang from here. Though the bright purple exterior and Ha Long inspired mosaic in the lobby might be a little off-putting, the rooms are simple, homey and comfortable. There's a small first floor balcony with seating that looks like a good spot to camp out for the evening. There is also an elevator to get up to the rooms, which have impressive tile bathrooms, French windows, baths with tubs, and big cable TVs. The rooms with river views are no more expensive than the other doubles, so try to snag one. Strangely, the VIP suites don't have river views. Free internet is available in the lobby, and there's WiFi throughout the hotel -- though it doesn't seem to work in all the rooms. There's a scarcely used restaurant on the 7th floor, but we imagine you can do better on the streets nearby.
