Le Nim Resort
An atmospheric retreat

What we say:
The Le Nim Resort hasn't been thriving as a travel destination in recent years, but an effort is underway to once again make the mountain a spot for foreign visitors to spend part of their summer. We found many of the rooms here to be decent value for the price, given the unique location. Rooms are a little dark, with lots of wood panelling making them seem smaller than they really are. On a good day, they likely get great views -- but when we visited, all we could see was fog. There's no air-con -- we imagine it would be unnecessary no matter the time of year. The resort is spread out along a promontory at the tip of which are a dozen 'Valentine Houses'. These are cheap rooms, in solid, wooden huts, containing little more than a bed, with a shared outside bathroom. They are mostly used by couples looking for some 'romance' time, but double as a good cheap way to stay on the mountain top. There's a fire pit at the tip of the promontory that looks ideal for an evening around the fire, so groups of backpackers might do well here. On the opposite end of the spectrum are the luxury villas, which are much nicer. Open plan, split level rooms with wood-burning fireplaces and yet more excellent views -- a decent option for flashpackers and luxury travellers. Like the rest of Ba Na, Le Nim Resort is often completely deserted out of the peak summer season, giving it an air of abandonment that some may find a relief, others may find a little depressing.
