The site of a Westerner on this beach really turns heads. With accommodation in retro A-frame bungalows, Tien Sa Resort looks a little like a 1950s roadside hotel. The bungalows aren't bad though, and they're built right into the rocky outcrop at the eastern end of the beach. They also have some hotel-style rooms in a building 100 metres inland. The rooms here are acceptable, but hardly high quality -- you'd do better to stay in town. Though they all come with air-con, they're faded and feel a little damp. Most of the guests don't plan to spend any time in their rooms anyway -- they lay out a blanket in a shady spot and spend the day eating and drinking, or take a table at the seafood restaurant and chow down on a hot pot. Vietnamese holidaymakers make the most of their precious days off, and the crowds here can be pretty overwhelming on holidays. The beach really isn't as nice as across the peninsula -- if you want to get off the tourist trail in Da Nang, however, this isn't a bad option.
