Description
Across the road from the Vinh Hung 2, lies the Thanh Binh 3. It's worth popping in just to gawk at the very special mural the pool backs onto. As with its neighbour, the hotel is built around the pool, and the rooms, while clean, are nothing to get excited about. The cheapest are quite threadbare but the mid-range ones are huge and look over the road. Their top-range rooms are finished in a Chinese-wooden look that wasn't really to our taste. Rooms have all mod cons. Popular with groups.

Really good place- not western style -
By spy ( total comments: 10  More information please ) Stayed here 3/2008
We rolled up here after the Thien Thanh Bluesky had made a mess of our booking. The staff were really friendly and helpful, the room was large and spacious with a balcony and the price for 3 nights was negotiated at 25 dollars a night. Good pool but in a tightly packed central courtyard.

Breakfast was included but would recommend giving it a miss and heading into town to one of the bakeries.

The decor of the place is a bit mad (heavy wood) and eastern in feel but the rooms are quite pleasantly plain. Location is very handy, 5-10 mins from the centre of town with amenities and bike hire on the doorstep. This place was a good spontaneous find for us.

Not cheap but new and nice -

We stayed here for two nights after leaving the disappointing Greenfield.
It was not cheap at $35 a night, but so much better than the $28 rooms in the Greenfield. New, spacious, large bed and a big tub bath, plus an inside/outside swimming pool.
Perhaps not worth the money, but then most of the others we looked at were quite inferior.

Wonderful hotel -

Stayed here for 5 nights and it was wonderful, has a room opposite the pool which was clean and so inviting in the heat of the day. The rooms are very roomy and clean and have a huge bathroom. The staff here are so lay back and casual and very friendly, nothing seems to stress them. Would definetly stay here again.

Thien Thanh Bluesky Hotel
34 Ba Trieu St, Hoi An
The Thien Thanh is absolutely immaculate with its great range of well-kitted out flashpacker/mid-range options still looking brand new. The cheapest rooms are inside with limited natural light, with their mid-range rooms far better value. The top-range rooms have a small balcony and look out over... more

Ha An Hotel
6-8 Phan Boi Chau St, Hoi An
This large and charming garden hotel is set at the eastern edge of Hoi An and has a large, very pleasant lawn area in front highlighted by potted orchids. Rooms are spotless and in a two-storey building to the left of the main (and older) building. They have great bedding and a bright cheerful... more

An Huy Hotel
30 Phan Boi Chau St, Hoi An
This charming little hotel is an excellent mid-range option on the eastern side of the market. Set on a quiet, little-trafficked road, the An Huy has a large restaurant and spotless, tasteful rooms on offer. Built in a traditional style, the upstairs deluxe rooms are lovely, though unfortunately... more

Vinh Hung 2 Hotel
Nhi Trung St, Hoi An
This modern, three-storey hotel is built around a mid-sized pool in an atrium-like setup. A 5- to 10-minute walk from the town centre, the Vinh Hung 2 has reasonable rooms with air-con, TV, fridge and hot water bathrooms with bathtubs. The carpets are worn and while the rooms are well-looked after,... more

Thuy Duong 3
92-94 Ba Trieu, Hoi An
It's a testament to how lucrative it is to own a hotel in Hoi An that so many owners just open up one after another and name them sequentially. As a general rule, the higher the number, the bigger and better the hotel, and the Thuy Duong 3 is positive proof of this. It's only a three star outfit,... more
