Characterful building but unenthused staff
Located in a quiet part of town to the east of the market, this quaint little hotel offers decent midrange accommodation.
Rooms are spacious and clean with a stylishly traditional look, although smaller rooms do feel a little cluttered and some have limited natural light -- ask to see a few if you're not happy with the first. The upstairs deluxe rooms are lovely, though unfortunately the veranda view is over other tiled roofs; at least it's very private and it actually has a lot of character. Sadly over the years the An Huy has slowly slipped behind and it’s not too hard to find better rooms with a cheaper price tag -- however you’d be hard pushed to find one that can compete with its location. The hotel's staff get rather mixed reviews however on our visit they were really helpful, so they have either upped their game or we caught them on a good day. All in, it’s not a bad place to end up for a few days if you want to be near the old town.
