Given that it's been around a while — by Hoi An standards at least — you're likely to be surprised by the modernity of the reception area: red velvet covered pillars, cream sofas and lots of light greet you on entry. Staff live up to the "Welcome Hoi An" sign carved into bushes in the attractive gardens out front, and are happy to show you around. Rooms aren't quite as modern as the reception area but are comfortable, bright and well-decorated with simple dark wood furniture, large beds and a balcony, with some overlooking the enticing pool area. It's pricey but it's four-star and comes with all the extras you'd expect — even a tennis court. Overall a good place to hang out if you don't want to spend all day wandering around town. Buffet breakfast and WiFi are included.

Quiet, slightly dated but ok

We walked in towards the end of low season (Aug) and paid $70 for a superior twin bed room overlooking the lawn. Nice but hardly 4 star! Drippy toilet, slightly dingy bathroom. Loud, old air conditioner. Nice, quiet lawn area, small pool with high demand for seating. Overall a restful spot but could use an update. I definitely wouldn't pay a cent more than I did for what we got.
