What we say:

Set in what appear to have been styled on a series of massive grain bunkers, the Palm Garden Resort has made no attempt whatsoever to blend into the surrounding environment. Facilities are, however, four-star, the rooms immaculate and the staff very professional. Rooms are sunny and airy, with modern wood decor, spacious beds and frosty air-con. The upstairs rooms have splendid beach views, as do the beachfront bungalows which also house outside bathrooms They have a large, pear-shaped pool here with a fountain and Jacuzzi built in, though it's not the biggest in the area. Rack rates are high and they weren't forthcoming with discounts — so check out online offers or look into their package deals in advance. The beachfront bungalows in particular are very expensive for the standard.

not value for money

Stayed for six nights in a beachfront bungalow which was not worth the extra. One of the rooms features is an outdoor bathroom which is at the back of the room. The adjoining room is also at the back so you can hear what is going on in the adjoining bathroom! Bath is very big but uncomfortable for lying in it. The management is European and they appear to have no interest in the guests and keep to themselves. Local staff friendly. Best part of the resort is the spa and beauty treatments which were great value.
