The last of the beachfront five star mega-resorts (no doubt there are more on the way), the Golden Sand Resort boats a huge pool -- and we mean huge. They claim that it's one of the largest outdoor pools in Vietnam and we'd struggle to swim a single lap in it. The rooms are set in a series of two-storey buildings, and are some of the nicest on offer along the beach, if you opt for one with a view over the sea. With totally professional staff and immaculate furnishings throughout, the Golden Sand is a cut above the rest. Be sure to shop around for an online rate or investigate their packages as the rack rates are very high.
