The Golden Sand Resort boats a huge pool, and we mean huge: it's 150m long. They claim that it's one of the largest outdoor pools in Vietnam and we'd struggle to swim a single lap in it. The rooms are set in a series of two to three-storey buildings and are some of the nicest on offer along the beach, if you opt for one with a view over the sea. Rooms are luxuriously comfortable, with plush beds dressed in top quality linen, inviting sitting areas, and Red Dzao textiles accenting the wooden furniture. Suites are the size of an average apartment with private terraces literally on the beach, but they need to do something about the damp smell for us to recommend spending $360 a night on them. With totally professional staff and immaculate furnishings throughout, the Golden Sand is a cut above the rest. Book online for discounted rates and packages.
