Phuoc An Hotel (DMZ Guest House)

Not overly appealing

What we say: 2.5 stars

Despite the fact that the DMZ Cafe is sort of a hip place for backpackers to hangout, the associated hotel isn't such an appealing place to stay. We found the rooms clean but antiseptic, and the staff obnoxiously over-eager. Most of the rooms have decent baths with tubs, fridges, TV -- but no cable. The basic doubles are quite plain and have small beds. The rooms up on the fourth floor are a bit better, with some views of the river if you squint real hard. Wait until all the really good places fill up before you choose to stay here. They'll be expecting you.
