Bao Minh Hotel
A bit cramped

What we say:
The rooms here are a bit cramped, in part because they all have tables and fridges packed into the room whether there's room for them or not. On the plus side, the decor is quite pleasant, the bathrooms have tubs, and all the rooms feature optional air-con at a very reasonable price. The more expensive rooms have small balconies overlooking the alley. There's one internet terminal available for free, one hour a day, for guests.

Great value friendly place
Agree with all baggageallowance says, below. Sounds like we had the same room. Cool place for the money and really friendly helpful staff.

internet in room!!
We got a room with a balcony since the room is 4 persons so we paid $14 for the room. The room was clean and got a bath tub, TV and ice box. The staff were helpful.

Good Location, Sunny rooms
The room that we had was on the front it had a small balcony overlooking the quiet alley below. It was bright, clean and sunny with a nice bathroom. This was a real find as we had looked at quite a few ropey rooms in other hotels close by so were relieved to find the Bao Minh. We hired a bike from the hotel and the young guy on reception advised us on which were the best tombs and pagodas to visit, he even put a raincoat in the bike for me just in case!!! The hotel is close to lots of good restaurants and bars and also a short stroll to the riverside park area and bridge which is illuminated on week-end evenings, something we wouldn't have known if it hadn't been for the reception staff. You can also walk to the citadel easily from the hotel and there are plenty of small stores around if you need to purchase sun cream etc. Internet was free but they only have 1 computer - there's a big internet place close by at the top end of the alley. A great little hotel - would stay again!!
