A great, hidden away spot

What we say:

This great little place is on a quite alley just behind the Tuy Ly Vuong pagoda, about 300 metres down from the Dap Da Bridge, on the opposite side from Le Loi. They have light, airy rooms with good balconies, tubs in the bathroom -- the TVs are broadcast only, but it's more of a spot for quiet reflection and reading a book anyway. The family who run the place seemed quite chipper, though no English was spoken. The nearby Dap Da river hosts a smattering of local cafes and restaurants along the water within walking distance. Like the name says, it seems like an ideal choice for a peace visit to hectic Hue. One caveat: the Dap Da bridge becomes impassible, sometimes for days on end, between September and December. You can still get into Hue, you just have go the long way round.
