Description
The Quoc Hoa has smart mid-range rooms in a handy location. Rooms are well-sized and those on the higher floors have good views over the city. Bathrooms have tubs and are very clean -- as are the rooms in general. Other facilities include fitness centre (with sauna and Jacuzzi), business centre and meeting room. Rooms have complimentary internet access, comfortable sofas and good firm beds. The Deluxe rooms look to the rear of the building, while the Deluxe Classics have better views out of the front. Very popular since a renovation, reservations in high season are a good idea. If you're a walk-in, be sure to ask for a discount, as the rates struck us as very high. All rates are ++.

Walking in through the foyer, over the carp-filled pond and through the rattan-lined foyer, you'll feel more like you're entering an antique store than one of Hoan Kiem District's better mid-range guesthouses. With just 10 rooms, reservations are a good idea, as while this place isn't outstanding... more
Hoa Binh Hotel
27 Ly Thuong Kiet St
Built in 1926, and originally operating under the name La Splendide, the Hoa Binh was extensively renovated in 1998 but the result is well short of splendour. The renovation wiped out much of the hotel's history, with the exception of an impressive wooden staircase climbing up the centre of the... more
