Little Hanoi Hotel
Super staff

What we say:
Being used to an escorted viewing of rooms, along with the statutory "Where you from?" we were surprised to be given the keys and let loose on the rooms here, but it made for a more relaxed look around and the friendly and helpful staff were chatty enough when we returned to reception. While the cheaper doubles are reasonable value, it's worth spending a bit more for a superior double at the front: they're well decorated and spacious with big windows overlooking Hang Ga and even have a bath. There's a six-bed dorm too but be sure to book in advance as it gets full quickly. If you reserve ahead they'll pick you up for free from the bus or train station. Good choice. Breakfast included in rates.

Friendly Staff
Friendly Staff, Drink/Fruit on arrival, Cheap, clean and breakfast is included. The staff can not do enough for you, we stayed 2 nights initially then went onto Halong Bay for 2 nights(which they organised) on return for a further 2 nights the staff came out to assist with the luggage. I highly recommend this place.

The sun shines out of this place
Little Hanoi Hotel has a fantastic location, a super friendly and attentive staff who will take care of anything you need taken care of, and the cleanest dorm room I've ever stayed in. The beds are wide with frames made of dark wood and crisp white linens, and they provide you with fluffy towels to use along with the hot shower. Breakfast (eggs, not just bread) is included and you can get free tea / coffee all the live-long day. There are three computers with fast internet available in the lobby... all for $6! Side note: don't let the manager get a moto for you; it will cost you far more than if you get one yourself.

Best Hotel we have stayed !
Of all the hotels we stayed in Vietnam, Little Hanoi is the one we remember and talk about the most. We had the deluxe Church room and just loved it! Large, spacious room, clean bathroom, comfortable bed & lovely view! There was something about this place for us - it was just the kind of accommodation i like, comfortable but very personable. Nothing too fancy, just a great place to go home to at the end of the day. The staff were the best part about the place - they were super friendly (we stayed at 3 hotels in Hanoi, and Little Hanoi was by far the friendliest) they did everything they could to accommodate us whilst we were there and we were truly sad to leave. Next time i'm in Hanoi, i will be sure to look them up again - have referred many others on and will continue to do so.

Service with a Smile
Stayed here for four nights between Christmas and the New Year. The staff were excellent - nothing was too much trouble and Kim especially was particularly helpful. She will order good taxis for you which charge a reasonable rate - even metered taxis can rip you off. She also sorted out our sleeper train tickets to Danang too and the boys booked us a room in Hoi An. Superb service! We paid USD23 for room 401 - the top floor overlooking the street. It had air-con (not needed at the time), one king size and one single bed, satellite TV, 'fridge, en-suite bathroom (small bath) and breakfast included. As far as streets in Hanoi go, it wasn't as noisy as expected. There's a good restaurant at the hotel with well-priced food (stir fry 35,000D, beer 20,000D) and you can get the draught Bia Han Oi at the corner bar for 14,000D for a pint. Other places have it at 4,000D for a glass! The whole of the Old Quarter is on the doorstep - the Cathedral is a ten minute walk away, the lake is seven minutes away, the prison museum is fifteen minutes walk and it is also possible to walk to the War Museum (twenty minutes+). The Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum is a short taxi drive away (40,000D). We had already booked a Halong Bay trip from New Zealand (Columbus Travel) but afterwards we were able to return to the hotel, eat and shower before getting a free (paid by the hotel) taxi to the train station. We will probably return to Hanoi again and we'd certainly try to stay here - perfect for the price!

Really friendly place
I got recommended to this place by a young English couple who raved about it so I decided to stay there too. Couldn't be happier with their rooms and friendly service. I have since sent many people there and often get emails of thanks back from the satisfied travelers I have sent there.

Friendliest staff in Vietnam
We arrived in Hanoi off a hellish day travelling down from China when both myself and my girlfriend were suffering from food poisoning. The staff at little Hanoi hotel could not have done more to help us out when we were in a pretty bad way. That night they took me out on a moped for free to find some remedies for my girlfriend and over the next couple of days they really looked after us. They also managed to get us on a trip to Cuc Phong national park when it looked like none were running at the time. They are the most helpful and genuinely friendly people that we have met in Vietnam - really fantastic! True, the rooms are nothing to write home about but they are adequate and comfortable. We had a room in the middle of the hotel and didn't find it too noisy at all. If you like your service with a huge smile you cannot do any better than stay at little Hanoi.
