A25 Hotel
Well equipped

What we say:
Part of a chain of hotels in Hanoi, the A25 on Hang Thiec has retained some of the positives we noted when it first opened -- rooms are spacious and well-equipped, with decent rain showerheads in the bathrooms and a computer in each room -- but its, shall we say, seedier side is now more evident. Suffice to say, room prices are quoted for 24 hours, overnight and by the hour. Don't let that put you off though: if you can get past the motorbikes parked in the reception area and the numerous staff milling around, you'll find the staff speak reasonable English and the rooms are still good value.

great place to stay!!
It was only US$18-20 to stay and considering the competition at the same price level it was a steal. The rooms are amazingly posh with pc with internet, cable tv, fridge, powerful hot shower, wardrobe, kind of like a proper hotel. The room rates are done by day or night so you could stay here just for the day, or even by the hour! The staff were efficient and friendly enough and they even had a door guy to open the door when you left. If you get the munchies you can order food to your room for reasonable value. I would stay here again and in fact did as we booked in again after returning from a Ha Long Bay tour. Our room only had a window onto the inner courtyard but it was better than an outer facing window as the streets here can be very loud. The room because of this was very quiet, just what you need after a hectic day on the streets of Hanoi

Great Place
This really is a great find. You can find cheaper accomodation in this area, but if you want to live it up a little this is a great place. Choose your room carefully as not all are created equal. The best ones have their own computers with a fast internet connection. All rooms have nice tvs, dvd players, bathroom with super hot water and huge shower heads. They even equip the bathrooms with razors, toothpaste, lotion, blow dryer, etc. No restaurant on site, but you can order from a menu in your room and they will deliver to you. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We paid $18 for a big room with computer, but no window or balcony (actually a blessing in disguise as the street can get quite noisy).
