Description
This 15-room mini-hotel is located opposite the Ngoc Anh Hotel and while it is a bit more expensive then the Ngoc Anh it doesn't do much to justify the higher rates. Rooms are clean and come in all shapes and sizes but are not all that well appointed. On the upside, the management speaks fine English and are eager to assist.

Terrible Hotel! -

We had a terrible experience at this hotel. The service was poor and when we complained about this, we were told that unless we paid the full amount then they would not let us get on the bus out of Ninh Binh, where the hotel is a pick up point. Then manager also told us he would make sure we did not get on the bus at all. We received great service from the Thanh Thuy hotel down the road, go there instead and don't let this hotel get away with threatening travellers!

Staff very friendly, helpful and efficient. English pretty good. In low season you can negotiate a room price, we paid $8 for a room with private bathroom and a nice view of the town , good value for money. Room spotless and spacious. Bed was good and firm with decent pillows, towels good. Quiet except for trucks on main road, a block away, that hoot loudly throughout every 24 hours. Bathroom clean with flush western toilet and hot shower, hot water doesn’t last too long though.Electrical outlets. Don’t know about bag storage but sure they have. Free internet available in lobby and 2 computers. A decent breakfast (2 eggs, baguette and coffee/tea) for $1 is available in their restaurant. They do all meals and suppers are excellent value for money with huge portions and great variety of foods (platter) in each meal. Notice though that there aren’t any prices on the menu so ask before you order “just to make sure”. There aren’t any other restaurants in town that will match this restaurant on quality of food and affordability. Laundry service is available as well as motorbike and bicycle hire. No international payphones that we saw. Hotel looks clean and almost new, you feel welcome. Give their snake wine a try among the numerous vats of interesting concoctions on the counter in the restaurant.
