Hoa Binh Hotel
Cheapest of the cheap hotel cum love shack

What we say:
The Hoa Binh is one of the older hotels in Tam Dao and is instantly spottable as you enter town - it's the large three-building complex that stares at you over the bridge in a rather domineering fashion. The staff here were only too eager to show us the rooms after they got over the shock of any guests actually coming to the hotel. The rooms themselves are standard for a cheaper Vietnamese hotel: basically they contain a bar fridge and a bed in an old dark room with mould growing up the walls. This is actually classed as a Nha Nghi which can be translated as cheapest of the cheap hotel cum love shack. Should you choose to stay here you shouldn't expect much more than a room for your money. Other options in town definitely represent better value.
