Description
This is a fine hotel with a lovely pool. It is situated in a loop to the right of Tam Dao as you enter and was opened in 1999. Balcony rooms look out over the mosaic-lined pool and the mountain side as it falls away from the town. All rooms feature satellite TV, baths, radiators and double beds, with the larger rooms offering two double beds, air con and deep welcoming balconies. Room prices include breakfast in the Bamboo restaurant downstairs and service charges and tax will add another 20% to your bill. A nightclub of sorts and a conference room is available should you feel the need to call a snap board meeting. The staff say that trekking trips can be organised here to the three peaks with a local guide. Mela Hotel's room prices are higher than others in town but justified for their quality, though their cheapest rooms have little view to speak of. If you'e not staying at the hotel but would like a western meal, the restaurant here is your best bet.
