What we say: 
Set well back off the river and just a short walk from Long Xuyen's massive church, the Long Xuyen Hotel hides fairly spartan rooms behind the hotel's attractive facade -- perhaps they renovated the exterior this year and next year they'll do the rooms. A typical Chinese-style hotel, the Long Xuyen has stacks of rooms with super-soft mattresses and slightly grim interiors. Bathrooms are passable. The reception staff speak some English. Rooms are priced according to the floor, with the cheapest on the top. Unless you are happy to stay in a brothel masquerading as a hotel( the nearby Ninh Binh 2), this is the best budget bet in town.
