What we say:

Opened in 2000, for a long time the Saigon Phu Quoc Resort was the flashest digs on the island. With increasing competition, they've certainly upped the priced -- but not the standards. It's still a decent option, with a spacious swimming pool, WiFi, and Jacuzzis in all the rooms. But it lacks the charm and style of newcomers, like Mango Bay or Verandah. The clientele includes a steady stream of Vietnamese and Saigon-based weekenders along with other international tourists. Their cheapest rooms are towards the rear of the compound in a hotel building and are adequate, while the bungalows are in better condition but considerably more expensive. Be sure to check for online rates as the walk-in rates are well-inflated.

good experience

This resort seems to be one of the best resorts on the island yet quite expensive. We stayed in the VIP bungalow. It was close to the beach, which was nice. Room was good with wifi and very good and wide bed. Resort was well located. Many restaurants were on the same beach. Restaurant in the resort was expensive. Breakfast was good.
