Sea Star Resort
Quite smart, very well-sized bungalows

What we say:
Sea Star Resort has smart butter-cream coloured bungalows running back from the beach through a coconut grove. Two rows of bungalows sit on the beach, the rest are crowded further back. Rooms are in a duplex style, with a wooden screen dividing the spacious verandah -- if you're travelling in a group and take both rooms, they'll be happy to take the screen down for you. Rooms are relatively plush, with cable TV, soft bedding, and spic-and-span bathrooms. If you stay for more than two nights, you might be able to bargain for a modest discount.

Love the Sea Star!
We originally wanted to stay at the Sea Star all 3 nights we were in Phu Quoc but could only get a reservation for the last 2. I am so glad we took it and moved hotels. We had a sea view private bungalow (the 2nd tier of bungalows)which was simple but clean and private. The view was amazing and we loved our deck chairs where we could watch the sunsets. The Sea Star restuarant is great--much better than other hotel restuarants. The beach was steps from our room, the massages on beach were great and cheap, and the whole area was quiet and peaceful. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Pretty good
Not a bad place to stay, clean well looked after rooms and OK food. The staff were helpful, in particular the staff at reception. The beach was also very clean and quiet. Our only gripe was about the restaurant, it closed at 10pm, that was fine we have no problem with that, however we hadn't finished our drinks by 10.10 pm and they asked us to leave quickly, bearing in mind the restaurant is outside we think this was unecessary.Luckily there is a great beach bar/restaurant next door which serves good food and stays open late, well at least till 12.

Great deal!
Very good quality for little money. I had an ensuite bungalow for $25 dollars which was always very clean, had aircon and was spacious. Service was great too. I was there in lowseason and seastar was the only hotel to clean its section of the beach

Definitely worth it!
This is a really nice place to stay. Almost everything about this place is perfect. I stayed in the garden bungalow and it was amazing. The room was clean and wonderful. It even had a flat screen plasma(I think) TV. The staff are very friendly, the little chubby asian dude is real nice and helpful. I got sick and he took me to the clinic and helped me out. It's right on the beach. The only downfall I think is the food. It was good, but it could have been better. Nevertheless I would definitely go back, I would also eat there again. And plus there are many resturants a long the beach that you can easily go to. What is also cool is that when you go to breakfast they go and clean your room. They are very quick and sneaky with that, its nice to come back to a clean room after a nice meal. Hey its only 30-40 a night. For that price I think this is the best place, bang for your buck.

awesome
Totally great spot. We recommend the bungalows set just back from the beach.. the ones on the beach share a wall and porch with the next door neighbours, and are too public. Lovely simple, clean accommodation, friendly staff, decent restaurant, though we mostly ate elsewhere except for breakfast, which is included. Beach is constantly being swept, and many other places aren't, so debris and plastic pile up.

A fantastic stay
A fantastic six day stay. The staff were lovely, efficient and helpful. The Restaurant was great, lots of people coming from other resorts to eat there. Try the "quids in flour" and prawns in lemon grass and chilli, we still dream about those dishes. The rooms were spotless and comfortable, if there is one improvement they could make, that is to have some English speaking channels on the Cable TV, but then who needs TV anyway. We are are planning a return visit.

Wonderful
We spent four days at Sea Star and easily could have spent another month there. Very peaceful and quiet, beautiful beach, easy walk to the other hotels, really friendly staff. The perfect place to be lazy and relax.
