Description
This is a great little Thai-style beach bungalow outfit. The smart little brick and wood bunaglows have good hammock-friendly balconies, all set just behind Rainbow Bar. While the huts are just off the beach, the water is but a hop skip and a jump away. Very friendly English-speaking staff and a welcoming family atmosphere make this a winner for budget travellers, and their low season rates are outstanding value, though the beachfront row is overpriced for high season.

Personally I thought Coco beach was awful. We paid $20 for a garden bungalow, the sheets were dirty, the room was full of insects and the bathroom wasn't clean. Way overpriced and you can get a lot better value for your money

Austere bungalows. We went for the $20/night ''garden view'' bungalows, which are 1 row back from the beach view bungalows, but every bit as nice. each bungalow has a porch with a table, chairs and comfy hammock! Our fridge didn't stay plugged in, and there was no hot water (who needs hot water at the beach though?). The location is good for long beach. Right about middle, and next to the Rainbow Bar (on the beach) -- very handy! Free use of beach recliners and hammocks. Motorbike rental/hire for 100,000 Dong per day.

I arrived on Phu Quoc with no idea where to stay...after checking out some of the surrounding resorts, I took a 'garden' (3rd row fro the water) bungalow for $10. The bungalows are large, very clean and all have their own deck. Staff was excellent, spoke good english and always on hand to assist with whatever you need. Highly recommended!

Long Beach, Phu Quoc Island
Set on a large block, the grounds here are lush more by accident than design and while the rooms are mostly just adequate, they're nevertheless very well-priced for those on a budget. Their beachfront rooms are a particular low season bargain, though in high season they're not such good value. Kim... more
Hiep Thanh
Long Beach, Phu Quoc Island
There's two styles of accommodation available at the Hiep Thanh Hotel, Chinese style hotel fare and large, quite well-appointed bungalows, though they could do with a few more windows. Partly squashed in behind Cassia Cottage, the resort still has some beachfront available. For the money, the... more
Lam Ha
Long Beach, Phu Quoc Island
Another lime-green affair, Lam Ha has simple rooms and bungalows spread across some lush grounds. There's no beachfront here and the lower rates reflect it. The bungalows come with kitchettes, so if you happen to be travelling with your own stove, you're in luck. Friendly, but very little English... more
