The very comfortable and rather flash-looking Song Tien Hotel is a couple of blocks back from the river but faces onto the canal that empties out into the river. Rooms are of a reasonable standard and are all decked out with air-con, hot water and TV. The Song Tien accepts tour groups and can fill up quickly. Go for a higher room to escape some of the traffic noise from the busy road down a block.

Hotel Song Tien Annex
(April, 2011) Hotel Song Tien Annex is a newer hotel belongs to same company and is about 100 m closed to Song Tien. It is located directly at the river, too. It has clean and spacious rooms and comfortable beds. The staff is helpful. 450 tsd VND with breakfast and 350 tsd VND without, I've paid for a twin room. Omit the breakfast! It is quite poor. You can get it cheaper and better in the surrounding. The only negative point is: the city megaphone is very closed to the hotel and you are automatically be waked up at 5 AM by the noisy sound. I recommend the hotel for all early risers!

Hotel Song Tien Annex
Hotel Song Tien Annex is about 100 m close to Hotel Song Tien. It's newer, clean and has spacious rooms with very comfortable beds. It's opposite to a ferry and just recommend for early risers. A megaphone of city announcement is placed directly there and starts to play at 5 AM. 450.000 VND with breakfast and 350.000 VND without I've paid. Breakfast can be omitted because it's quite poor. Get it in the surrounding for cheaper and better. I would recommend this hotel.

Courteous staff, clean rooms
Stayed here for a night while en route to Can Tho. They are consistent with their room rates - still 160,000 VND - which is good value for one's money. We stayed at the topmost floor, got a nice view of the river canal and all the morning action it entails. And they have a lift! Yay! Our room was tidy and quite spacious. Their mattresses are thick but hard on one's back though. Hot water, A/C and TV included. Staff were courteous and helpful.
