Description
Featured in Architectural Digest, this place will never be. It's an unapologetic, rectangular box of a place that looks like it just fell off the back of a really big truck and landed in it's current location. It's really one of the most charmless places we've seen in Vietnam. The rooms are decidedly strange, not very aesthetically pleasing, and the decision to wrap the vinyl furnishings in clear, rubberised plastic left us scratching our heads. The bathrooms are gleaming, white-tiled cubicles with that wonderful 'institutional' feel about them. But the TVs are big and there are balconies to be had, and you'll get a night's sleep, as long as you like a bed with a good firm mattress. At least they don't overcharge. Air tickets to Hanoi can be purchased here at a desk in the lobby for the same price as at the airport. Some of the staff here speak English.

This place is across from the bus station, closer to the Thanh Binh bridge leading to the market. The rooms we saw were light and airy, if a bit musty, but an improvement over the nearby Hai Yen on that score.
