Description
This giant, pink-salmon-coloured hotel along 7-5 Road, set well off the road behind a huge reflecting pond, is exactly the kind of place we'd expect to be awful, but it's not so bad. Comfortable, competitively priced rooms are to be found with big windows, private balconies (shame about the lime-green curtains), good bedding on the beds, and the armoires of aluminum and black vinyl chairs may not be high class, but then neither is the price. The larger rooms come with a desk and some puckered red carpets on the floor, along with decent shower-bathrooms. The staff speak Vietnamese only, but were very sweet.

The staff here are very friendly and the management helpful with any enquiry that you need to make. The rooms are a good size and well kept up -- the two-room suites are a particularly good... more

There's a whole class of hotels in Vietnam, built before Doi Moi, that reflect a very kitschy, uniquely Vietnamese sensibility, and this place is a prime example of the genre. The fundamentals of the style are concrete renderings of random figures like elephants and cave men, the more of them the... more
