Lovely setting but rooms are nothing special

What we say: 3 stars

This impressive stilt-house style outfit has ample accommodation on either side of the road, and offers massage, a sauna, bar and restaurant and 24 hour room service. The rooms have clean, homey interiors with attractive wooden panelling, desks, recessed ceilings and plenty of room to move around in but they're getting a bit tatty and the shower bathrooms are no better than the better options in town. That said, if budget is not so much of an issue and you're looking for peace and quiet and a change from the standard brick guesthouses then it's a good option. Breakfast is included. To get here, head straight through town past the intersection to the dam for another kilometre, and reception is marked by a sign, up a hill to the right.
