What we say: 3.5 stars

If you're just looking for somewhere to rest your head for a night before jumping on the first bus out, then the Dong Loi might fit the bill, though better value options are available in town. Rooms are spacious, clean and bright with the usual amenities and basic shower bathrooms. There was a definite smell of insect spray on our visit — whether that suggests there's a problem or that they're just being thorough we're not sure. Staff didn't speak any English but were friendly enough. To get there, turn left out of the bus station and it's about a five minute walk along the main road.
