What we say:

As you enter Poom Village from the main road a sign reads ‘Mrs Chung Welcomes You. Ecotourism Homestay'. This is guesthouse 1 and, whilst a decent place, we're not sure what makes it anymore ecotourism than any other homestay. Still it makes it easy to find and what you get is a large communal room and pleasant views of the adjacent lily pond. As elsewhere in the villages, showers are communal, however this guesthouse had more showers than the others. The room and bathroom were all extremely clean and the seating area downstairs unusually uncluttered. Poom village is regarded by some as quieter than Lac village however there are plenty of long tables to sit and drink at if you want to change that reputation by carousing into the night.
