What we say:

If for any reason you're not in the market for a homestay (bad back, case of the trots, etc.) this is an acceptable option 4.5 km from the turn to the villages, along the road on the way into town. The hallways are very tatty but the rooms fare a bit better being clean, with high ceilings, air-con, broadcast TVs and middling but acceptable shower bathrooms with hot water. Note however that the air-con doesn't come on until 21:00 — not great if you want to escape the heat of the day, although the fans still work. The cheaper rooms are extremely small but the larger rooms at the front are light and spacious with road-facing balconies. The staff is very friendly, though little English is spoken.
