With the huge choice of Nga Nghi (Guest houses) available on Phan Dinh Phung, you might be overwhelmed by choice. But the English on the sign and the claim of Cheap Rooms helps Hoa Long stand out — and it's worth a look. The building is reasonably new, reception is uncluttered, hallways are light and clean and rooms open off pretty plant -filled balconies looking out over the street — a good start. Single rooms are really that — a single bed in a very basic but clean room, with a tiny bathroom — but they have air-con, a fan and a TV and for once single travellers won't get stuffed with paying double room prices.
