Description
Okay, so you won't get any views to speak of here at the Camellia. Kinda, sorta, views of the mountains if you look real close through the gaps between the surrounding buildings. But that's not what they offer. They offer good, cheap rooms for those planning to take in the views on your trek in the morning. The rooms themselves are quite good value for the price -- TVs are broadcast only but the rooms are nicely designed, with windows, mozzie nets on the beds, hot-water baths and good solid comfort for such a cheap price.

Sapa Valley View Hotel
33 Fansipan, Sapa
We checked this place out because its position along Fansipan Road is perfect for views of the mountains. What we found inside is a kind of quirky but oddly likeable place, though most the views are actually from the patio seating on several of the floors. Some of the rooms are a bit shabby, but in... more
Pinochio Hotel
15 Muong Hoa (Pho Cau May), Sapa
This very popular backpacker option has a good reputation, and deservedly so. The vibe here is almost like a youth hostel, and the rooms provide the best combination of low prices and good views in town. They have six different types of rooms, but only the very cheapest have no views at all. The... more
Daling (Hoang Lan) Hotel
13 Pham Xuan Huan, Sapa
Most tourists don't know that Pham Xuan Huan even exists or where it is. In fact, many locals have no idea where it is either. You can reach it by taking the street just south of the church, where all the market stalls are, and just keep going. The road ends shortly, but there are several places to... more
