What we say: 
Although most guesthouse owners live at the property, at Thuy Khiem is really feels like you're being shown to a room in their attic rather than a room in a guesthouse. The entrance is through a small shop and then it's up a couple of flights of grey concrete steps to the extremely small and dark room. The bathroom we saw was so small that you'd probably have to sit on the toilet in order to use the shower. For the standard of room even 100,000 is a bit of a stretch, but if you can negotiate down it would do for a night — otherwise stretch another 20,000 and go next door to Huong Duong.
