It's difficult to pick the biggest selling point here: the giant plastic red tree in the superior rooms, the plastic hanging gardens in the standards, or perhaps the sprawling chandeliers in both. Rooms are reasonable though not great value, and overall the place feels badly in need of a refurbishment, particularly the bathrooms. Many of the nearby mini-hotels represent far better value, but for an aging hotel, we've seen far far worse. Only the deluxe rooms have streetfront.

* Travelfish researchers visit and review properties on an anonymous basis. By that we mean they show up, in person, and pretend to be either be a potential guest, or somebody looking for a room for a friend or relative. Where possible the researcher will inspect at least a couple of rooms. The rates you see above are what either the desk staff told us they were, or what were in the brochure when they just told us to quit bugging them and look in the brochure. For mid-range hotels and up, always shop around online for a competitive rate. Click here to find out more about what makes Travelfish different with regards our accommodation reviews.

Not too bad ... - 9th January, 2008
Very convenient location and if you can get a room on one of the higher floors it's fairly quiet too. The hotel is aging (comments about refurbishments are still valid) but it's clean and practical - if not luxurious. Staff were friendly and fairly helpful, and certainly not pushy.

Didn't care much about the things as said in the description which are true. Finally a nice hot shower and some soft beds
