Phoenix Hotel (HCMC)

Allround good choice

What we say

The very good value Phoenix 74 is a stand out in the row of mini-hotels on Bui Vien St, due in no small part to its having an elevator. Rooms are clean and have a few extra sticks of furniture thrown in, making this quite good value when compared to its threadbare neighbours. The staff are also very friendly, making the Phoenix an allround good choice. If business is slow you should be able to get a discount easily. Bear in mind the traffic noise on Bui Vien is a major issue, so if you;re a light sleeper, opt for industrial-grade earplugs or the top floor.
