With more than 100 rooms available, Vien Dong Hotel doesn't appear to belong in the Pham Ngu Lao backpacker area. The rooms at Vien Dong are similar to other three-star properties in the area and offer similar amenities, but Vien Dong stands out from its competition with its superior facilities, which include a sauna and Jacuzzi as well as large conference and ballrooms. On lower floors street noise can cause problems, as the honking on the street starts early, so packing a pair of earplugs may be advisable or try to secure yourself a room in the inner corridor away from the street. A complementary buffet breakfast is served daily.
