Description
The Legend feels somewhat isolated, set away to the north of the Australian Embassy on Ton Duc Thang St. Attracting a primarily Japanese and North Asian clientele, the Legend really doesn't feel like Vietnam at all, and the lobby lounge doesn't hold back, welcoming guests with a grandiose enclosure dominated by two gigantic black steeds backing onto towering indoor palms. Rooms are mostly deluxe and are comfortable with firm beds and super bedding. We particularly liked the bathrooms, and unlike many Saigon upper-range hotels, the rooms have also been decorated with a flourish -- ornate art flanks the room's entrance and narrow mirrors are set by the window. All rooms come with mini-bar, in room safe, IDD telephone and internet access. A big selling point here is the massive circular pool out back -- it helps to compensate for the less-central location. Be sure to check for a competitive online rate.
