The Sofitel Plaza Saigon stands on the lovely tree-lined Le Duan Boulevard. As with the Caravelle and Renaissance, there's little in the way of a nod to colonial charm in this glass and brass edifice, but once you've put that aside, the Sofitel has an excellent standard of room, making it an outstanding choice for both the leisure and business traveller. The hotel has 279 tasteful superior and deluxe rooms, all with WiFi. Views from the higher floors are very impressive. When it's time to escape the heat, the 18th floor swimming pool boasts tremendous views and is accompanied by a poolside bar. There's also a well-equipped fitness centre, sauna and massage facilities. The fluently English-speaking staff are outstanding and will happily provide detailed information on sightseeing or assist with your business needs.
