Stepping into Xuan Thu feels like walking into someone's house, and a cosy house at that. A modern kitchen and a pleasant water feature sit on the ground floor and a squeaky clean staircase leads to the second floor, which contains three rooms and a small lobby, adding to the intimate atmosphere. There are two more rooms on the third floor. Although slightly barren, they are comfortable, all have air-con and a fridge, and the bathrooms are newly tiled and spacious. The one single room in Xuan Thu is the largest, has the only balcony and a bathroom with separate shower cubicle. Breakfast is included.

* Travelfish researchers visit and review properties on an anonymous basis. By that we mean they show up, in person, and pretend to be either be a potential guest, or somebody looking for a room for a friend or relative. Where possible the researcher will inspect at least a couple of rooms. The rates you see above are what either the desk staff told us they were, or what were in the brochure when they just told us to quit bugging them and look in the brochure. Clean, nice, and affordable - 2nd February, 2008
We stayed here one night before moving across the street to Miss Loi's. It's a nice place and a great deal for the price. The rooms are clean and comfortable and you get a mini-fridge, cable TV, and tasty (though simple) breakfast. The only downside is that it's not social (there's no central hang out-spot) and the family here was cordial but not particularly friendly.
